Over the past few weeks we have been thinking ahead to brighter days, when the country starts to go back to semi-normality or what for now could be “The New Normal”.
Our hotel has remained open throughout the lockdown period for our National Heroes, the NHS and Key Workers.
Because of this we have already put into place all the recommendations from the Government and Public Health England that protect our customers and team members during this lockdown time, including but not limited to:
– Social Distancing – 2 Meters distance between our Front of House teams and our guests at Reception, Public Areas, Lifts and Corridors
– Bedrooms have the 5 Key Critical Touch Point Cleaning touch points including, handles, switches, remote controls, and high contact furniture
– Enhanced cleaning practices in conjunction with Diversey our chemical provider in all public areas, washrooms and lifts.
– Our teams have been provided with the relevant PPE in each of the hotels departments.
– All our team members have access to COVID-19 testing, as part of the Government Key Worker initiative for testing.
Looking forward, when we can re-open fully, we will be undertaking intensive preparations & cleaning procedures to ensure all our Hotels are in the best possible condition.
This is an ongoing process and will be updated along with government announcements, guidelines, and industry best practice.
The procedures we are already following will continue and then enhanced when we are able to open further areas.
We have compiled a full set of operational standards and guidelines that we will be adhering to but also reviewing and updating as the guidelines by PHE and the UK Government changes.

Thank you, I had an amazing day it was perfect nothing went wrong, all the food was lovely and my guests enjoyed the food and they liked the hotel, the rooms were lovely, and we had the rooms that had been done up so they were great, especially our honeymoon suite, the staff were very friendly and the lady that stayed with me all day was lovely, and helped me with anything I needed, she also made sure the room was set up correctly, and got me to check before anyone came in which I liked, Kev and Kate the photographers were amazing, they captured every special moment of the day, and I would recommend them to anyone, I cannot wait to see the photographs, and lastly I would like to say a big thank you to you for helping me every step of the way planning my fairy tale wedding, everything was perfect and nothing went wrong, I'm so glad you were there to see me in my dress, and share my special day it means alot thank you so much
Beth went above and beyond to ensure our day was going to be an amazing day. She was by the phone or email any time and put up with a stressed Bride to be and always managed to calm my nerves and make things work. Beth you are fantastic at what you do and made our wedding the most perfect day. Naomi was the master of ceremonies on the day for us and again was amazing. All ran smoothly and went well and they couldn't do enough for us. I will never ever forget that day it was truly amazing thank you

We had our wedding on the 26th May 2019 at the Holiday Inn, South Normanton. Firstly I would like to say how amazing Beth who was our wedding coordinator was. From the moment we met Beth till our wedding day she was there to answer the emails I constantly bombarded her with. We met up on numerous occasions at the hotel and Beth even came in on her wedding day even though it was her day off. On the day we was also given Naomi who looked after us. The rest of the staff went out of the way to make us feel at ease and went beyond our expectations to make sure our day ran smoothly. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so at first was worried about leaving someone else to set up our rooms but they looked absolutely amazing, we made all our decorations ourselves but they where more than happy to put them out exactly as we wanted them. The food was really nice and everything ran smoothly. From start to finish our wedding was everything and more than we ever could have asked for thanks to Beth and her staff and everyone that worked so hard behind the scenes. I would totally recommend the Holiday Inn for your wedding Tom and Kat Cook
