Marilyn and Kev
We were so pleased when our food and beverage assistant of 24 years chose to book her own wedding at the hotel.
Her and her partner Kev were an absolute delight to work with and we couldn’t wait to create their perfect day.
Marilyn and Kev pulled up to the hotel in a white limousine.
The staff had a glass of prosecco ready waiting for them.
Their guests were greeted with Bucks Fizz and delicious chocolate canapes.
They included their family in the celebrations by having Marilyn’s sons as their photographers and her daughter in law kindly made them a cake.
Their rose red colour scheme was beautiful and fitted a winter wedding perfectly.
Marilyn created a beautiful white framed table plan herself and the individual place cards for the tables also.
Our Venue Dresser provide rose centre pieces in tall vases placed on red table runners.
The twinkle backdrop looked stunning and really complimented the rest of the décor.
The Hotels Christmas decorations were also set up especially for them.
For the Wedding Breakfast the couple decided on this menu:
Smoked haddock and spring onion fishcake, cucumber and red onion salsa
Braised beef brisket, creamed potato, green beans and carrot beer jus
Lemon tart, candied lemon and lemon sorbet
As part of their package their guests received a glass of wine per person and a glass of sparkling wine for the toast.
For the evening reception Kev and Marilyn opted for a Gin Station and Beer Buckets for their guests.
The Gin station included a variety of original and flavoured gin, tonic waters, fruit and ice.
They also hired through our Venue Dresser a chocolate fountain, sweet cart and red traditional post box for their cards to go in.
Kev and Marilyn are now off to Tenerife for their honeymoon and we hope they have a fantastic time!
